Smoky Eyes - How to Get That Soft and Sultry Look

The smoky eye effect turn your face from the normal daily dramatically eye-catching! The popular look is achieved and maintained with contrasting colors and simple mixing techniques. The application is simple, by learning a few basic steps.

Choose your colors.


Choose a rich, lively liner, three shade (light, medium and dark) and a deep mascara. The darker the color, the more dramatic the look. If you are a soft, smoky look, chooselighter, softer shadows. Almost any color can be used to the smoky effect also purple, green, brown, and classic black. Deep Purple with light gold is absolutely beautiful. The colors should contrast (light / dark), but are complementary. For example, when a brown smoky eye, choose a rich dark brown liner and cream, beige and nude for your base station, and transitions.

Add the primer.


Before you start applying the paint, prime your eyelids with a good oilabsorbent powder or mineral. Crease lines form from the oil collects on the eyelid during the day. Consider using mineral veil with corn starch-based oil because of its super-absorbent properties.

Apply the liner around the entire eye.


With your favorite eyeliner brush or pencil, slide the darker shade to line the entire eye. The thinnest line should be close to the inner eye, while the thickest line should be near the outside corner to drawn. The thickerthe lines are, the bolder your eyes will appear.

Put the base shades on.


Next, apply the the medium base color from the upper lash line to about half way up to your brow, blending upwards.

Trace the contour shadow (darkest shadow) over the eyeliner and in the crease area.


Gently, trace over your eyeliner with the contour shade and smudge until well blended. This gives the soft, sultry, smoky look. Using the popular "V" shape, add the contour to the crease. To find your Creases, remove gently with your finger and move it from the inner corner of the eyelid the outside corner. You should have your eyeball right feel under your fingers. The fold line is to meet where the facial bones and the eyeball. Keep mixing and continuous control until you get the desired level of smoke. If it does not look so soft enough to smudge a bit more without adding more color. The key to the perfect smoky look, is the mixing of colors. Help you add the average shadow base color to blend the bottomlash line.

Highlight the brow.


With a semi-glow, or your light shade, apply only under and over the forehead. To ensure that your eyes will seem larger and brighter, while it raised the appearance of eyes.

Applying smoky colors, the eye has a seductive power that really fascinating. It is advantageous to create all kinds of faces and easy to use. Experiment with different colors and you are sure to bring irresistible eyes every opportunity.
